Deposits with Motorphilia

We keep our process simple and transparent. Here’s how deposits work with us:

1. Fully Refundable Until a Car Is Secured

Every deposit you make is 100% refundable if you decide not to move forward. If you do buy a car from us, your deposit is applied directly toward your purchase price.

2. When a Deposit Becomes Non-Refundable

Once we place a winning bid and secure a car for you, your deposit is no longer refundable. At that point, your deposit becomes a partial payment toward your vehicle.

3. Special Case: Financing Through a Lender

If you’re financing the full purchase price, your deposit is refunded after funding is complete. Because banks take time to finalize payment, this refund may take 2–4 weeks after your vehicle is delivered.

4. Special Case: Deposit on a Vehicle in Our Inventory

If you place a deposit on a vehicle we already have in inventory, that deposit is not refundable. By doing so, you are literally asking us to turn away other business on your behalf, and that represents a real cost to us.

5. Why This Matters

Your deposit shows us you’re serious, so we can dedicate time, effort, and resources to finding your vehicle. This protects both you and us: you know your request is prioritized, and we know we’re securing cars for committed buyers.

Summary

Before a car is won → Deposit is 100% refundable
After a car is won → Deposit is applied as partial payment (non-refundable)
If fully financed → Deposit is refunded once lender funds are received (2–4 weeks post-delivery)
If placed on in-stock inventory → Deposit is non-refundable because we are holding the car exclusively for you
